Key Responsibilities:
Establish the finance function, providing strategic direction and oversight across accounting, treasury, regulatory reporting, and financial planning.
Partner with the CEO and executive team to develop long-term financial strategies, capital planning, and business performance monitoring.
Ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations (VARA, DIFC) and IFRS, while maintaining best practices in corporate governance and risk management.
Oversee preparation and accuracy of financial statements, management reports, and performance dashboards for senior stakeholders.
Lead budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial modeling to guide business decisions and support expansion.
Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, financial institutions, and regulatory authorities.
Direct treasury and liquidity management, including cash flow optimization, trading/brokerage accounting, and FX exposures.
Implement and enhance internal control frameworks to safeguard assets and strengthen financial integrity.
Provide leadership and mentorship to the finance team, fostering a high-performance, compliant, and collaborative culture.
Act as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board, contributing to strategic initiatives including fundraising, new product development, and corporate structuring.
Job requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CFA, CIMA) strongly preferred.
Proven track record (7+ years) in senior finance leadership, ideally within financial services, brokerage, or digital trading.
Strong knowledge of IFRS, UAE regulatory requirements (DIFC, VARA), and international financial governance standards.
Demonstrated experience in financial strategy, capital management, and regulatory reporting.
Advanced financial modelling, data analysis, and ERP/financial systems skills; excellent Excel (incl. Power Pivot/Power Query).
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with C-level executives, regulators, and external stakeholders.
Ability to balance strategic vision with operational execution in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
