Job Summary

The CTO will be responsible for defining and executing the company's technical vision, managing a diverse technology stack, and leading a skilled team of developers, architects, and QA professionals. The role requires a strategic thinker with deep technical expertise, exceptional project management skills, and the ability to adapt to AI-driven innovations. The CTO will oversee the transition of AI services in-house, provide strategic supervision of cloud infrastructure, ensure seamless operation of our CRM and web platforms, and effectively manage external vendors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Leadership: Define and implement the company’s technical strategy, aligning it with business objectives, and challenge technical decisions to ensure scalability and alignment with high-level goals.

  • Infrastructure Management: Provide strategic oversight of the company’s cloud infrastructure hosted on AWS and Digital Ocean, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security, while collaborating with the DevOps team to optimize performance and deployments.

  • AI Integration: Lead the in-house adoption of AI services, particularly LLMs, currently managed by an external vendor, by hiring and managing a team of Python/AI developers.

  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of developers, architects, and QA professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

  • CRM Oversight: Supervise, maintain and extend the existing CRM system (PHP 7.4, Symfony 3.4, with partner platform on Symfony 5.0) to ensure stability and scalability.

  • Vendor Management: Oversee and coordinate with external vendors for WordPress development, PHP development, and content/translation tasks, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.

  • Project Management: Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, defining clear scopes, timelines, and deliverables, while tracking milestones, mitigating risks, and presenting actionable plans to stakeholders to ensure successful execution of technical initiatives.

  • Innovation and Adaptability: Drive AI-driven solutions and adapt to emerging technologies to maintain a competitive edge.

Job requirements

  • Technical Expertise:

    • Deep understanding of AWS and Digital Ocean cloud infrastructure, with experience in strategic supervision of scalable and secure systems.

    • Proficiency in Python and AI technologies, particularly LLMs, to lead in-house AI development.

    • Experience with PHP (7.4, Symfony 3.4/5.0), React, and WordPress development.

    • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools to collaborate effectively with the DevOps team.

  • Leadership and Strategic Thinking:

    • Ability to grasp high-level concepts and dive deep into technical details.

    • Proven ability to propose innovative solutions and drive strategic technical decisions.

  • Project Management:

    • Exceptional ability to manage complex projects, defining clear scopes, objectives, and deliverables while adhering to strict deadlines.

    • Strong skills in producing detailed project plans and presenting them effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    • Experience in managing cross-functional teams, prioritizing tasks, and mitigating risks to ensure project success.

  • Vendor Management: Proven ability to manage and coordinate with external vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality of services.

  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams, external vendors, and stakeholders, with the ability to present complex technical plans clearly.

  • Experience:

    • 7+ years in a senior technical leadership role, preferably as a CTO or similar position.

    • Experience managing cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.

    • Background in travel or technology sectors is a plus.
