System Administrator

a. Provide hardware and software system administration on all personal computers, servers, fax machines, digital projectors, satellite receivers, switches, routers, printers and other peripherals critical to proper function of 52 FSS/FSDE Spangdahlem AB Education Center technology systems.

b. Implement any new systems (software/hardware) as required by the Education Service Officer.
Set up new computers and other information systems in a timely manner to support gradual improvement of the Education Center facility.

c. Provide all networking architecture recommendations and networking support to improve the Education Center commercial network as directed.

d. Establish procedures for safeguarding all critical data. Design back-up methodology to guarantee uninterrupted Base Education Center service to customers.

e. Develop tracking systems (including all required documentation) to monitor all information systems. Establish a diagram of the facility with associated database to track fixes and implement information systems.

f. Provide for safe migration of important data from one system to another. Install and maintain Education Center primary database. Conduct upgrades to database and provide training to Education Center personnel.

g. Provide recommendations to the Education Service Officer for future planning and improvements to existing information systems structure.

h. Assist the Education Service Officer in research and purchase of all information systems and components required to improve existing structure.

i. Provide for proper information security on all systems. Educate personnel on proper security procedures to protect sensitive data and records.
j. Assist, maintain and administer the Linux server and network for digital signage. Deploy new players and screens as needed.
k. Maintain the internal and supported external Ubiquiti Enterprise Wi-Fi system. To include local, guest, and ALS class access and administration.

l. Maintain, update, and backup as necessary all Education Center commercial information technology computers operating with Windows 11.

m. Working knowledge of SMART Technologies smart boards. Must be able to administer, maintain, and secure devices at software and hardware level.
