Job Description:

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team in Singapore. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in CAD, mechanical design, prototyping, and basic mechatronics, with the ability to drive the design and development of innovative products from concept to realization. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, contributing to the creation of high-quality mechanical systems and components.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical components and systems using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, etc.).

  • Create and optimize mechanical designs with a focus on functionality, manufacturability, and cost-effectiveness.

  • Perform stress analysis, thermal analysis, and material selection to ensure designs meet performance requirements.

  • Prototype and test designs, working hands-on with assembly, integration, and verification of prototypes.

  • Collaborate with the electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration of mechatronic systems.

  • Support the continuous improvement of mechanical design processes, identifying opportunities for design enhancements and cost reductions.

  • Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for production and assembly.

  • Participate in design reviews, product testing, and troubleshooting activities to ensure product reliability and quality.

  • Stay updated with the latest mechanical engineering trends, technologies, and best practices.

Job requirements

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

  • Proven experience in mechanical design using CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Inventor, etc.).

  • Strong background in prototyping, including hands-on assembly, testing, and troubleshooting.

  • Experience with basic mechatronics, including understanding of mechanical-electrical integration.

  • Solid understanding of materials science, mechanical principles, and manufacturing processes.

  • Knowledge of FEM (Finite Element Modeling) or similar analysis techniques is a plus.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects concurrently.

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.

  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.

  • Ability to work onsite in Singapore and adhere to local regulations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or advanced certifications in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplines.

  • Experience with 3D printing and rapid prototyping techniques.

  • Familiarity with PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and control systems for mechatronic applications.

  • Previous experience in product development, particularly in consumer electronics, robotics, or automation industries.
