What You’ll Do (Roles & Responsibilities)

● Functional Automation & Strategy Execution: Work closely with test analysts to assist in implementing the automation strategy for functional and E2E testing, learning to translate complex functional specifications into automated test scripts.

● Regression Excellence: Help maintain and monitor End-to-End (E2E) regression suites, learning how to optimize them to detect regressions as the system evolves.

● Mastery of the Toolkit: Learn to use our required testing tools to their full potential to create automated test cases and generate precise data sets for deep-layer validation.

● Automated Assertions & Validations: Under guidance, implement automated assertions across databases and various physical file types (e.g., CSV, XML, JSON, Flat Files).

● API Test Automation: Assist in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated tests for RESTful APIs to validate endpoint functionality and data payloads.

● Identifying & Developing Tooling: Support the team in identifying specific gaps in current tool implementations and help develop or extend tools to resolve them.

● The "Reuse-First" Mindset: Operate with a strict mindset of leveraging existing test suites and modular components to speed up the automation of new requirements.

● API & Data Validation: Familiarity with or a strong desire to learn industry-standard tools (such as Postman) and general comfort handling data payloads (e.g., JSON, XML, or CSV).

● SQL & PL/SQL Proficiency: Foundational knowledge of SQL and an eagerness to learn how to navigate and query complex database structures.

● Python (The Asset): Basic knowledge of Python is a significant asset, specifically for learning file parsing or extending automation scripts.

● Version Control: Familiarity with Git or similar tools to manage code and monitor regression suites is beneficial.
