Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain Health & Safety policies, procedures, and management systems.
Conduct and review risk assessments, ensuring appropriate control measures are implemented.
Ensure compliance with Maltese Health & Safety legislation and company standards.
Lead workplace inspections, audits, and safety investigations.
Identify hazards and drive corrective and preventive actions.
Deliver Health & Safety training, inductions, and awareness programmes.
Manage contractor safety and permit-to-work systems.
Monitor and report on Health & Safety performance, KPIs, incidents, and trends.
Promote a positive safety culture through employee engagement and continuous improvement
Job requirements
Degree, Diploma, NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health & Safety.
Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a Health & Safety management role, preferably within manufacturing, pharmaceutical, engineering, or industrial environments.
Strong knowledge of Maltese Occupational Health & Safety legislation and regulatory requirements.
Proven experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and internal audits.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to influence, coach, and engage employees at all levels of the organisation.
Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and reporting tools.
