Health and Safety Manager

Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and maintain Health & Safety policies, procedures, and management systems.

• Conduct and review risk assessments, ensuring appropriate control measures are implemented.

• Ensure compliance with Maltese Health & Safety legislation and company standards.

• Lead workplace inspections, audits, and safety investigations.

• Identify hazards and drive corrective and preventive actions.

• Deliver Health & Safety training, inductions, and awareness programmes.

• Manage contractor safety and permit-to-work systems.

• Monitor and report on Health & Safety performance, KPIs, incidents, and trends.

• Promote a positive safety culture through employee engagement and continuous improvement

• Degree, Diploma, NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent qualification in Occupational Health & Safety.

• Minimum 1-2 years' experience in a Health & Safety management role, preferably within manufacturing, pharmaceutical, engineering, or industrial environments.

• Strong knowledge of Maltese Occupational Health & Safety legislation and regulatory requirements.

• Proven experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, and internal audits.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Ability to influence, coach, and engage employees at all levels of the organisation.

• Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and reporting tools.
